Poseidon was a brother of Zeus, the god of the sky,
and had a tumultuous sibling rivalry with him.

His trident, a formidable weapon much like
Zeus’s lightning, possessed the power to unleash
tempests and storms, effortlessly sweeping away
all in its path with a single swing.

Poseidon was renowned as a troublemaker on Olympus,
notorious for his short and violent temper.
Nevertheless, when he was in a good mood,
Poseidon turned his trident’s attention to helping people out at sea,
safeguarding sailors and fishermen on their voyages,
so the ancient Greeks revered him
as a reliable guardian and protector.
